This workbook is designed to raise awareness about security issues and to help human rights defenders consider how to mitigate threats. The workbook takes human rights defenders through the steps to creating a security plan for both individuals and organizations. Front Line was founded in Dublin in 2001 with the specific aim of protecting Human Rights Defenders; people who work non-violently for any or all of the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Front Line believes that human rights defenders are key agents of change and that the only way to ensure long terms sustainable development based on human rights, is to create a safe space in which human rights defenders can work.
